Udienza is my new video podcast. Ten minutes with the people who build what you run: founders, maintainers and CTOs of open source, cloud native and AI infrastructure. One idea per episode, on camera, filmed where they work.
The first five episodes are out at udienza.com.
Why ten minutes
Most interview shows run an hour. The people I wanted on camera do not have an hour, and neither do the people I made the show for: the engineer who runs production and will never get a badge to KubeCon, and the lead who decides what goes into production.
So each episode is one thing the guest built or changed, why it matters to someone running systems today, and the part you never hear on stage: what broke, what surprised them, what they would do differently.
I film where these people actually are: the booth, the hallway, the speaker room. Brussels, Amsterdam, Yokohama, and this week Prague. You see the room, not a studio.
The first five episodes
Each title links to the episode page, which has the video, the takeaways, the chapters and a full transcript.
- Monty Widenius: What MariaDB does next, FOSDEM 2026, Brussels. Where is MariaDB going in 2026, and does it still speak MySQL?
- Kat Cosgrove: Securing containers before they ship, KubeCon Europe, Amsterdam. Is the open source in your cluster part of your security posture?
- Sven Mößbauer: Observability without the lock-in, KubeCon Europe, Amsterdam. Can observability run on open standards without the lock-in?
- Luca Galante: Platform Engineering 2.0, KubeCon Europe, Amsterdam. Does AI make platform teams more necessary, or less?
- Chris Aniszczyk: After Kubernetes, what’s next, KubeCon Japan, Yokohama. Is your Kubernetes platform ready for agents?
Four of these conversations first appeared here as written interviews. The episode pages add the chapters, the takeaways and the transcript, and the show gives them a home.

New episodes on Tuesdays. The newsletter at udienza.com is one email a week: the episode, three takeaways, and what to read or try next.
What comes next
This week I am at Open Source Summit Europe in Prague, 7 to 9 October, where Udienza is a media partner, filming the next episodes. Already recorded: a European public cloud, and the conversations from AGNTCon + MCPCon Europe in Amsterdam on agents and MCP in production.
Be a guest
Built something the rest of us run on? Being a guest is free, and guests are chosen for what they built: sponsors never pick the guest, the questions or the edit. Take the other chair.
