Tech Makers hosted its August edition of the Monthly Tech Drinks at The Social Hub Amsterdam City — a night of startup pitches, founder stories, and just enough technical difficulty to keep things interesting.
What to Expect
The August gathering was a solid turnout of fun startups, cool people, and magic (plus some technical difficulties that are almost part of the formula at this point). Three founders took to the floor to pitch:
- Zoé from ZAZZpay
- Yereth from PulseMail
- Vlad (name of company not specified)
Technical Difficulties (As Expected)
Every good startup night has a moment where the projector stops working or the mic cuts out — it’s what separates a pitch night from a conference keynote. The group laughed it off and kept going, which is exactly the kind of unpolished honesty that makes these evenings worthwhile.
The Organizers
Big thanks to the Tech Makers crew — Fabien Bouhier, Alina Dumitrache, Zac Allen, Alex Gevers, Yu Wang, Maggie Minton, Joel Milligan, Ceren Danis, Fleur Prince, Julien Nathan Balanqueux — and of course Qonto again (Georg Nüchtern, Remco Molendijk) for powering the evening.
Looking Ahead
September’s tech drinks are shaping up to be massive. If you’re in Amsterdam, block the evening. The energy is always worth it, and you never know which pitch will turn into the next thing.
