Great energy at the Superteam NL Launch Event on the Solana boat in Amsterdam — the Supperclub Cruise on the IJ waterfront.

Always exciting to see the Dutch ecosystem showing up with builders, operators, and crypto-native talent all in one place.

The Event

Superteam NL is the Netherlands chapter of Superteam, the global Solana community. The launch event brought together the Dutch Web3 ecosystem for an evening of networking, conversations, and community building — literally on a boat cruising through Amsterdam’s harbor.

Big thanks to SuperteamNL for bringing everyone together, and shoutout to CryptoCanal, Wigby/Mick, Collins Ejiofor, and everyone pushing the space forward.

Why This Matters

From a technology perspective, Web3 infrastructure shares more with cloud-native engineering than most people realize:

  • Distributed systems — blockchain networks are distributed systems at their core
  • Infrastructure as code — node deployment and management benefits from Ansible and Terraform automation
  • Kubernetes orchestration — validator nodes and RPC endpoints run on the same container orchestration platforms as any other workload
  • Observability — monitoring blockchain infrastructure requires the same tooling and practices as traditional cloud

The overlap between Web3 infrastructure and platform engineering is significant. The same skills that make you effective at running GPU clusters or cloud infrastructure apply directly to blockchain node operations.

Amsterdam’s Position

Amsterdam continues to punch above its weight as a tech hub. Between the AI community, the cloud-native ecosystem leading up to KubeCon Europe 2026, and now a growing Web3 presence, the city is building density across multiple technology verticals.

As the Prosus State of AI report highlighted, European tech hubs need critical mass to compete globally. Events like this contribute to that density.

Bullish on more real-world connections, sharper conversations, and stronger momentum from here.
