Luca Berton in New York City — ready for coffee and AI conversations

The Conversation Everyone Is Having

Every meetup, event, and random coffee conversation these days seems to end up in the same place: AI, infrastructure, data platforms, MLOps, automation — and how enterprises can move from “AI experiments” to real business impact.

Fresh off presenting at Red Hat Summit 2026 in Atlanta, I am now in New York and happy to meet builders, founders, engineers, product leaders, and enterprise teams working on the future of AI.

Coffee is on me.

What I Love Talking About

  • AI/ML platforms at scale — from proof-of-concept to production-grade inference serving
  • Kubernetes and OpenShift AI — GPU scheduling, multi-tenant isolation, bare metal deployments
  • RAG, LLMs, and enterprise data platforms — retrieval-augmented generation, model serving, fine-tuning with InstructLab
  • AutomationAnsible, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps workflows
  • Turning AI ideas into production-ready systems — the gap between a notebook demo and a reliable, observable, cost-effective production deployment

Why Coffee Conversations Matter

Some of the best technical insights I have gained came from informal conversations — not conference talks, not blog posts, but a 45-minute coffee chat where someone shared a war story about a production GPU cluster failure, or described how they solved multi-model serving at scale with a creative KAI Scheduler configuration.

The AI infrastructure space is moving so fast that the best knowledge is often six months ahead of any published documentation. Real conversations with practitioners are the fastest way to learn.

My Background

I am an AI and Cloud Advisor, Docker Captain, published author of 8+ technical books, and speaker at conferences including KubeCon Europe 2026 and Red Hat Summit 2026. My focus areas span:

  • Multi-tenant GPU platform engineering on bare metal
  • Enterprise AI infrastructure with NVIDIA and Red Hat
  • Cloud-native automation and platform engineering
  • Open source community building
